Motor vehicle accident with entrapment and a Vehicle fire

- On May 13, 2012 around 15:20 hr Christiana Fire Company was alerted for a MVC. A-12 arrived on scene and reported 1 patient heavily trapped. 12-6 arrived and requested additional resources to assist with the extrication. 32-5 on the road, made the response under the command of Capt. - On May 8, 2012 at 16:59 Stations 28 & 32 were Dispatched for a MVC in the area of old DSP #2 with pedestrian stuck. After investigation it was found no pedestrian was struck. Two people were taken to the hospital.... (Full Story & Photos)

Services for Past Assistant Chief Tom Walsh

- On Thursday May 4th and Friday May 5th ,the officers and members bid a final farwell to past Assistant Chief Tom Walsh. Tom was a life member of Wilmington Manor as well as a member of the Citizens Hose Co. of Smyrna. Tom was also a member of the Delaware State Fire Police. He will be truely missed.... House Fire W. Hillview Ave. Station 20 District
APRIL 28
- On Friday April 27 at 1849, Wilmington Manor units were dispatched for an Engine and Rescue assist to Holloway Terrace Fire Co. on a residential fire. Rescue Engine 286 responded with a crew of 4 Engine 324 responded with a crew of 4 after clearing an alarm with Christiana Fire Co. Ladder assist to Brandywine Woods Apts.

- On Thursday April 5 at 01:45, Wilmington Manor units were dispatched for a ladder assist to Christiana Fire Co. on a multi residential fire. Ladder 28 made the response under the command of Deputy Chief Maichle. Rescue Engine 12-6 arrived to find a 3 story garden apartment building with heavy fire conditions from the 3rd floor and roof area. A second alarm was quickly struck and subsequent alarms ...
